You are cordially invited to the Women in Art – A Joyful Journey Exhibition. The work in the exhibition mirrors the artists interpretation of JOY, CREATIVITY and COLOR, in these mediums: Paintings, Drawings, Photography, Ceramics, and Sculpture.
Artists were asked to reflect on stories, life journeys, or experiences in their lives, imaginative or dreamlike. Something that evokes brilliant color, powerful energy and/or joyful memories.
We are excited and honored to be able to enable this amazing group of diverse women artists, who are either early or emerging, with a place to exhibit their artwork, the opportunity to have a visual voice and be part of a collective artistic community of empowerment in this powerful exhibition.

MISSION
The mission of this project is to provide to a diverse group of Dallas-based women artists, who are either in early or in mid-career, a place to exhibit their artwork, the opportunity to have a visual voice and be part of a collective artistic community of empowerment. The catalyst for this will be a collaborative exhibition in a professional gallery setting with a specific message to focus on joy, creativity, and color.
As part of this mission, the exhibition curator, Katherine Baronet will provide mentorship and instruction as to what is involved in preparing for an art show. This includes the following components: artwork wired and framed, installation of the work, prepping walls, labeling/pricing artwork, how to handle sales, marketing tools (web, social media, email, and print, etc.), how to invite people/public and their families and friends to an Artist Reception of their work. All the artists will participate in the preparation and closing of the artist reception.
