Katherine Baronet
My artwork is an exploration of both nature and spirit. It emerges from a space beyond the mind – where the master creator takes over. I’m transported to a place where time, and thought all disappear, and I become one with the creation that comes through me and onto the surface in front of me. Making art is a spiritual expression that flows thoughts.
I am fascinated with seedpods, and plants that can heal. The extraordinary intelligence to regenerate life is held within them, the ability to duplicate another life, and the ability to heal is fascinating. Through size, monochrome color, and details, I exaggerate the seemingly unimportant to the remarkable. Each of my creations is a yearning to express life’s remarkable essence – the seed.
