Debbie Klein’s work is heavily influenced by printmaking, photography and design. Each piece represents a series of moments; snapshots of intersecting thoughts. Her work reveals a multitude of actual experiences that come together to create a new reality. When building her images, Debbie uses various techniques to highlight certain areas while obscuring others. With her focus on context, Debbie is more vivid interpreter than complex storyteller. Her goal is to breathe life into the unseen and overlooked.

The pictures in our minds are constantly moving, fading in and out, allowing us to see things in completely different ways. I am intrigued by the moments in between where our thoughts overlap and become less clear. My work is simply what I see. The more I see, the more I have to share.
