I am a mixed media artist and enjoy using a variety of mediums in my art; acrylics, oil pastels, watercolor, alcohol and India inks, hand-painted papers & collage elements, photos, image transfers, and mark-making tools. I love to combine and contrast fluid, free flowing layers of watercolor with hand-painted papers and collage elements to create intuitive and expressive nature inspired works. My imagination, emotion and life experience guide me in my process to paint memorable creations that reflect joy.
I strive to emulate the beauty, splendor and exquisiteness of our world and the sense of happiness it can bring us.

I was in a meditative state of mind when I created this piece. I wanted to paint a place in nature that was free of any negative energy — a transformative space that inspires tranquility and peace.

During my 2022 artist residency in Orquevaux, France I ventured often into the adjacent forest.
These paintings were inspired by the ethereal ambiance of the forest that enveloped me when I walked through it. The air was infused with a delicate fragrance of blooming flowers, that shimmered with iridescent colors, changing hues as if infused with magic. I felt I had transcended the boundaries of the natural world.
