Women in Art – Revealing Our Magnificence
Curated by Katherine Baronet
Presented by Andrea Lamarsaude, Owner & Gallerist, Art on Main
About the Exhibition
Women in Art – Revealing Our Magnificence is a juried exhibition celebrating the splendor, grandeur, and creative power of women artists.
Artists are invited to reflect on stories, qualities, or states of being that embody magnificence — whether through bold color, commanding form, movement, vision, or deeply personal expressions of authenticity. The work may evoke the awe of snow-covered mountains, radiant inner strength, or something incredibly grand, beautiful, or impressive.
This exhibition is intentionally inclusive and mentorship-focused, welcoming women artists (18+) of all ethnicities and backgrounds, particularly those with minimal prior gallery exhibition experience, offering both visibility and professional growth.
I want artists to awaken to their innate, authentic selves and reveal magnificence through line, form, color, movement, and energy.
— Katherine Baronet, Curator

Strengthening Communities through the Arts
By showcasing the work of 40–50 women artists from across DFW, this exhibition builds visibility for women artists while creating a shared space where community members can gather, celebrate creativity, and form meaningful connections. The mentorship workshop strengthens artists’ professional skills, ensuring that the benefits of this project extend far beyond the exhibition.
Fostering Expression & Intersectionality
The exhibition highlights a wide range of mediums, perspectives, and artistic disciplines, unified under the theme of “Revealing Our Magnificence.” Artists are encouraged to express their individual stories while engaging in a collective dialogue. This intersectionality of voices and forms broadens the community’s understanding of the virtuous traits, self-empowerment, and vitality of women’s art.
Expanding Cultural Awareness & Appreciation
Audiences will experience artwork that reflects many cultural, ethnic, and generational perspectives. This fosters kindness, courage, and humility, expanding awareness of different lived experiences while deepening appreciation for the role women play in shaping culture through art.
Accessibility for All Dallas Residents
The exhibition and receptions are free and open to the public, removing financial barriers to participation. This ensures Dallas residents—including those with annual incomes below the living wage—can access professional-quality arts programming and feel welcomed into a creative community.
Building Connections Across Differences
This project facilitates dialogue between artists and audiences by bringing together women of varied ethnicities, backgrounds, and career stages.
Receptions, and conversations during the exhibit and the mentorship workshop create opportunities for authentic connections.
Authentic Engagement Through Tailored Programming
The Artist Mentorship Workshop is designed specifically for women artists with little or no prior gallery experience, addressing their needs with practical, hands-on guidance. This tailored support empowers them to step confidently into the professional art world. The exhibition itself emphasizes will focus on positive character qualities like honesty, kindness and courage. —an approach that resonates broadly while remaining true to the voices of the women at its center.
The "Women in Art – Revealing Our Magnificence" exhibition uplifts local women artists, expands cultural awareness, strengthens neighborhoods, and makes high-quality arts experiences accessible to all Dallas residents, creating ripple effects of self-empowerment, inspiration, and community building. This project will have no creative limitations, and the women artists involved will be encouraged and supported with all that is creatively possible for them and the exhibition.
The Art on Main Gallery, located in a multi-cultural neighborhood of Old East Dallas, is the perfect venue to reach out to the diverse community surrounding it. Art on Main owner Andrea Lamarsaude and Katherine Baronet will promote the event and invite the community to come and participate in what is possible in East Dallas. Art on Main is a thriving community of creatives, where artists are welcome to participate in workshops and rent their own studio space to make art. It is a place that fosters freedom of expression within the arts, either with drawing, photography, painting, or sculpture.
Our goal is for the exhibition and artist receptions to impact the artists and their families and enrich their lives through visual arts. By giving the women artists participating in the exhibition this opportunity, we believe it will positively impact their future in the art world.
People can stop by during gallery hours or make appointments to view the work. Both new and mid-career women artists will bring each of their special gifts to the exhibition and to all invited. Our intention is that the Dallas community will be enriched when discovering the exhibition.
Creating a network of women artists who will collectively exhibit and potentially sell their artwork IS possible with your support!
