Brenda Robson, Luminous Pause, egg tempera and oil, 12x12in., $950
I was inspired by those quiet moments when you just let go—when the warmth of the sun, the rustling leaves, and the softness of the air make everything feel weightless. I wanted to capture that feeling of being completely at ease, where light isn’t just something you see but something you sink into. It’s about that peaceful surrender to the present, letting the light hold you.
Artist Statement
My work is a search for balance between the tangible and the fleeting, where form emerges through layers of egg tempera and oil—both translucent and opaque, both revealed and concealed. Light is not merely an element but a presence, shaping and dissolving, drawing forth quiet moments of clarity.
In this interplay, a deeper rhythm unfolds—a harmony that speaks of something beyond structure, beyond time. It is within this luminous space between what is seen and what is felt that my work finds its voice.
