The inspiration for Ladies of 2025 came from exploring vulnerability and non-conformity in a woman's world. The women are relaxing by the pool, a state that typically suggests openness and exposure. Instead, weaponized heads imply lethality and self-defense.
The work relates to the theme of "Revealing our Magnificence" by demonstrating resilience and autonomy. The open space of water contrasts with the weapons, creating visual tension to highlight the theme. The artwork invites viewers to reconsider beauty as something powerful and confrontational.

Xeomara is a first-generation interdisciplinary artist from Houston, Texas. Her work explores the world and the self through the lens of lived experiences, driven by curiosity and a commitment to self-exploration.
