INSPIRATION
I wanted to create a surrealist depiction of female empowerment in a lighthearted manner. I think it relates to the theme of the exhibit because it combines high contrast realism with a pop-art esque style and bold color.

I am a 20 year old DFW based self-taught artist working towards a B.F.A. in Studio Art at the University of North Texas. My work focuses on the human body, vulnerability, and connectedness between people using mediums like oil paint, acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, and watercolor.
