An Evening of Poetry at Art on Main
Join us Wednesday, September 16, from 6–7:30 PM for an intimate evening of poetry surrounded by art at Art on Main.

The poetry reading is being presented in conjunction with Emily Lamberty’s solo exhibition, Umbrella Corpse, creating an evening where visual art and the written word share the gallery.
Come experience poetry in a setting designed for looking, listening, reflecting and connecting—and take time before or after the readings to explore Emily’s exhibition.

Umbrella Corpse: Retrospective and New Work Exploring the Depths of Resilience, a solo exhibition by Emily Lamberty, brings together a powerful collection of photographs and mixed-media works that trace an evolving practice rooted in endurance, transformation, and survival.
Spanning past and present, the exhibition examines the fragile spaces between loss and renewal, exposing the emotional and physical landscapes shaped by resilience.
Through layered imagery and evocative compositions, the work confronts vulnerability while revealing unexpected strength.
Together, these pieces invite viewers to reflect on the ways we carry memory, adapt to adversity, and reclaim meaning from fractured experiences.
Umbrella Corpse offers a compelling meditation on persistence, identity, and the enduring human capacity to emerge transformed.
