Raquel Cordon, Nubes, oil and wax on canvas, 24x24in., $800
My inspiration for this piece was looking up and meditation.

Artist Statement
Raquel Cordon's works explore the intersection of identity, memory and the human experience through visual storytelling. Coming from her Spanish cultural background, Cordon here presents two pieces. (1) A drawing of an Olimpia, inspired by Goya's works, recreating the state of the female figure to convey emotions and inviting dialogue about self expression and connection with the viewer. (2) Clouds as metaphor for inner communication and exertion of agency before the universe.
