Artist Statement
As a professional artist, I call on memories and experiences to evoke mood and narrative in my artwork. Artistic inspiration comes from childhood memories and the desire to capture sacred moments. I enjoy connecting with people by creating universal human experiences using mixed media, oil painting, and figurative drawing. In my work I explore the delight of discovery and its relationship to identity.

This Morning Light in France work was from an experience of watching the sun come up in the bedroom of a French chateau. The light gave life to the whole room and created this sense of wonder. It was very uplifting and peaceful to see such a beautiful yet fleeting moment.
