Auburn Adams, Livia, mixed media, 24x30in., $850
My daughter and the young women of today and the reflection of finding the beauty of love. The genesis of these paintings stemmed from the aftermath of a rather unsuccessful art exhibition in 2020. During that period of uncertainty and turmoil, which resonated with many individuals, I found myself grappling with a profound sense of disillusionment and inner conflict. However, through a process of self-discovery and introspection, I managed to emerge from the depths of darkness and rediscover the radiance of hope. Approximately two years ago, I embarked on a new creative journey, driven by a desire to craft a narrative that not only explored the realms of self-reflection but also celebrated the resplendent beauty inherent in love and the essence of life itself.
Artist Statement
I have always been drawn to the power of love and its undeniable influence on our lives. Through my art, I strive to capture the various reflections of this powerful emotion. My Current inspiration stems from observing my daughter and the young women of today, fascinated by their self-perception and the affinity for the “Selfie” Culture. utilizing a versatile blend of media, I seek to blur the barriers between nature and realism, creating pieces that invite viewers to contemplate the journey of love and our perception of self. Through my creations, I strive to evoke an introspective reflection on the boundless allure of finding beauty in love.
